Volunteer at School
Explore opportunities to contribute your time and talents
Opportunities vary classroom to classroom. Let your child's teacher know you're willing to lend a hand!
Cover Teachers (Riverside Campus)
Qualified teachers may apply to become part of our substitute teachers who are used to cover our classes when faculty are ill or away. This is a paid position.
The Cultural Committee meets approximately once each term to plan initiatives to raise our community’s awareness to the variety of cultures present at ISZL, as well as to promote interculturalism and cultural awareness at ISZL. We are hoping to be able to plan educational events this year, including visiting presenters and workshops, and we hope new members of the ISZL community would like to join our exciting committee to help us with our new developments.
Exam Invigilators / Proctors (Riverside Campus)
After being trained by our AP/IB Curriculum Coordinators, you are then called upon to supervise exams throughout the school year. This is a paid position.
We are looking for people to help the Development Office envision and plan the School’s fundraising events this year. In the past ISZL has held two fundraisers in the spring: a Gala, that included a silent and live auction; and a Golf Tournament. We’d like a large committee of people who are interested in helping the School tweak these fundraising events so that they are more inclusive, successful and fun! We need people with fresh ideas in addition to people with the ability and interest in volunteering their time, especially in the months leading up to the events.
The library is a wonderful community resource and we look forward to welcoming new families and reconnecting with returning families. We are offering Family Account signup, looking at recruiting volunteers for the library as well as introducing the variety of services the library offers. We look forward to meeting everyone.
The Zug Campus Library is looking for volunteers to support in a variety of ways. Volunteers can sign up for weekly slots at the circulation desk, assisting students, staff and parents or they could sign up to support special library events. All help is appreciated. Volunteers are a vital part of the success the library has in supporting students and the community.
Support for the Arts
The Arts are valued highly in our school and artistic literacy is seen as an important transferable skill for all students. Whilst each year some of our graduating students go on to study in arts related fields this is not the sole aim of the work we do; our core goal is that all students should consider themselves to be reflective, informed consumers and producers of culture. In this we are guided by the school mission statement: "Respect, Motivate, Achieve".
