Numerous positive, community-building events and activities occur regularly on our campuses and add to the social atmosphere of our school. Our teachers and community members are passionate about education, giving back and showing up to help. At ISZL, we not only engages students to become active citizens of the world, but we provide opportunities for the whole family to connect. Community events and activities occur frequently that provide opportunities to explore and engage with the greater Zug and Luzern communities and become involved in many activities.
ISZL hosts a number of community events, from small to large, that bring parents together to celebrate the community and highlight the successes of our individual and collective efforts. Here are a few notable annual events that parents are sure not to miss:
ISZL International Thanksgiving
A feast each Autumn to celebrate our international community focused around the North American Thanksgiving holiday. In addition to a fabulous turkey supper, events include face painting, crafts, American football and making of the “Guys” to commemorate Guy Fawkes Day – another popular November holiday celebrated among our British families. The evening concludes with a bonfire and an amazing display of fireworks.
A day each Spring for the entire family, International Day at ISZL showcases the entertainment, traditions and culinary magic of the many international cultures that make up the ISZL family. Food for all, fun for all – International Day includes dozens of events, rides and activities to bring everyone together and to showcase the multicultural flair that makes ISZL so special.
