The Middle School students are creating a garden space to enjoy learning outdoors.

The Grade 6 students who are part of the Environments Group in Middle School decided to create a beautiful learning space in the area behind the Baarburg Building. For this to happen they needed to redesign parts of the garden.
The first part of this project was measuring the size of the garden so they could sketch a scale drawing and then create designs. With the funds donated by the Fund For Excellence, they are aiming to turn this space into a stunning, peaceful location for some lessons.
I love being creative with my garden design. I have learnt skills such as landscape gardening and using mathematics to create scale drawings. - Tom
With FFE donations we are going to create the best learning space and garden in any school. - James
We are very grateful that the Fund for Excellence supported us with this project.
