Afterschool Activities Programme

In order to cater to the social needs and interests of our community, the school runs an extensive after school activities programme. Activities range from competitive sports and the arts to newspapers and recreational pursuits. The Athletics Director and Assistant Principals coordinate this programme.

Sports and activities generally run from 15:45 at the end of school to between 16:45 and 17:00 depending on the activity. All activities are run by ISZL teachers and take place once per week.

Clubs and activities are offered each year in three seasons and vary from season to season. These are announced on the school website. Check your e-mail and the school website for announcements regarding school activities. Most activities last for one season only and sign up will take place online at the beginning of each new season.

Middle School sports practices are usually held two afternoons a week during the season. Sports seasons run according to the seasons but the length of activities may vary depending on the time of year. Most sports competitions take place in Switzerland against other international schools, and our seasons include the Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) championships and Sports Council of International Schools (SCIS) tournaments. SCIS tournaments can take place in other countries in central Europe such as Germany, Austria and Hungary. Most sports have boys and girls teams.
