After ISZL, Natalie received a joint honours degree in Music and Psychology from Keele University in Staffordshire, England in 2001. She then earned her MA in Ethnomusicology from Harvard in 2003 before receiving her PhD in Ethnomusicology from Harvard University in 2007.

Natalie is now an Assistant Professor of Music at Regis University.
