In December 2018, a school-wide Communications Task Force was formed to assess current practices regarding communications from the school to parents, and make recommendations to improve these communications further. The Task Force included Parent Advisory Committee representatives from each division, Parent Association representatives from High School and Zug Campus, all Principals, the Director of Educational Technology, Head of Admissions and Marketing, and Faculty and Communications Team Representatives.

The Task Force has been meeting monthly to assess data and feedback around the areas of key messages, the channels and tools, and the parent experience. A school-wide communications survey was conducted in May and the results of this have guided the creation of some key recommendations to improve ISZL’s communications with parents. Areas considered have included the school calendar, the parent portal, and email communications.

This week these recommendations were presented to the Leadership Team and the first of these will be implemented as part of a school-wide Strategic Communications Plan during the 2019-20 school year. ISZL thanks this dedicated group for their commitment and expertise to ensure the success of this important initiative for our school.
