The DP Core
THE Diploma CORE
The IB Diploma Core consists of a taught course in Theory of Knowledge (TOK), a written academic research paper of 4000 words called the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity and Service also known as CAS where students follow a balanced, self-developed programme of personal development.
TOK and the EE are assessed on a scale of A - E where E is a fail. The combination of grades can provide up to three extra points to the total IB score.
