Early YEARS learning

We offer a preschool and Kindergarten Early Years International School Programme for children aged 3 - 6, which fosters a love of learning and sense of self through an inquiry-based International School curriculum. We emphasise play and discovery both in- and outdoors, which sparks a sense of wonder and curiosity.

As an accredited International Baccalaureate World school in Switzerland, our staff personalise their teaching to meet the needs of our students at each age and stage. Whether it be specialist teachers, counsellors or nurses, our team of professionals have the experience and knowledge to support each child's individual academic, social-emotional, language and health needs during this crucial phase of development. Our students acquire the skills necessary for thriving in Primary School.

Children in Early Years 1 may attend a minimum of 3 full days or 4 mornings a week up to 5 full days a week.
Children in Early Years 2 may attend a minimum of 5 mornings a week up to 5 full days a week.
Kindergarten children attend for the full school day, 5 days a week.
Regular school hours are 08:50 to 15:30.  We also offer an extended school day service for students from 15:30 to 18:00.

The greatest gift ISZL has given my three daughters is an unprecedented passion for learning.  This year they have transitioned to a new school and their creativity, ability to work well with all classmates, inclusivity, and big-picture thinking set them apart from their peers. I attribute their success to the four years of education at ISZL.
