Switzerland’s excellent public transport system makes it easy for Middle School students to commute to and from school independently, and many families choose this option for their children. For those who prefer a dedicated school service, ISZL offers a reliable and safe transport programme to ensure a seamless journey.

Getting to and from ISZL

The ISZL Blue Buses

Our fleet of 35 school buses serves over 500 students across more than 20 routes and 200 stops, offering a shared, fixed-route option within our designated service area.

Operated entirely by ISZL, our buses are driven by trained staff who comply with Swiss driving and child safeguarding regulations, ensuring a secure and dependable experience for every student.

Buses arrive at school between 08:40 and 08:45, and depart promptly at 15:40, supporting a smooth start and end to the school day.

How Do I Register for the Transport Service?

Using Public Transport

Many of our Middle School families take advantage of the convenience of Switzerland’s well-connected and reliable public transport system. With an average punctuality of 94% in Central Switzerland and regular trains and buses serving our region, commuting is a reliable and popular option for students.

Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe (ZVB), Zug’s local transportation service, offers several Travel Cards for students, including discounted youth fares for children under the age of 16, and unlimited monthly or annual travel cards.

If you are travelling from outside of Zug or just enjoy more transport flexibility, Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB), Switzerland’s national railway service, offers several travel cards for children.
