Middle School Science in the Mountains

At the end of May, Grade 7 students headed to ISZL's Outdoor Education Centre, Chalet Bergheim in Wengen, to experience a science and maths programme specially designed for them. During our two-and-a-half-day trip, the mountains and the countryside served as our classroom.

Celebrating 25 Years of NAG

ISZL has a special association with NAG, the charity founded 25 years ago to help the street children of Nepal. Over the years ISZL has supported NAG through projects that have touched the lives of many in our community.

A Special Day of Games

In early June our Riverside Campus hosted a special 'Tag Der Spiele', or Games Day, for families who are part of the local Munterwegs mentoring programme. This day was organised by students after months of careful planning as part of their Service Learning.

Service Learning in Bulgaria

In May a group of thirteen Grade 8 students went on an extraordinary trip to Bulgaria to learn about and help with the work of The Cedar Foundation, a charity improving the lives of vulnerable children.

ISZL Strategic Plan 2015-19

Following the hard work that went into a school-wide Self Study and the results of our accreditation process in 2015, a group of community members met to discuss what the school might achieve over the coming years. Included in the group were staff, students, parents, school leaders and Board members. Collectively they drafted and refined the document that is now the ISZL Strategic Plan.
