Celebrating the Class of 2026: IB, AP® and BTEC Results

• 36 average points (out of a possible 45) in the IB Diploma, with the highest score being 43
• Average score of 4.0 points in AP® examinations, with 71% being 4.0 or 5.0
• 5 Distinction* grades in BTEC Creative Media, including 73% achieving a Distinction grade

ISZL’s Class of 2026 has achieved outstanding results across the IB, Advanced Placement® (AP), and BTEC programmes, and while results provide an important opportunity to celebrate our students’ academic achievements, no transcript can fully capture the individual stories behind the numbers.

ISZL is proudly a non-selective school. In practice, this means we support every student in finding the courses and pathways that are right for them, and we celebrate this year’s results alongside every other way our Class of 2026 has contributed and made their mark on our community.

IB Diploma Results

This year, 98% of ISZL’s IB students achieved the full IB Diploma, with a provisional average diploma score of 36 out of a possible 45 points. This is well above the current world average of 30 points.

The highest overall score was 43. Beyond this:

• 14% of students scored 40 points or more
• 67% scored 35 points or more
• 11 students received a bilingual diploma

Both ISZL’s average and the world average may change slightly in the coming weeks and months, as appeals and re-marking are a normal part of the results process.

Advanced Placement® Results

Students completing Advanced Placement® courses achieved an average score of 4.0 out of a maximum of 5 points.

Across all AP examinations:

• 91% of scores were 3 or above
• 71% of scores were 4 or 5

BTEC Creative Media Results

ISZL’s BTEC Creative Media students also achieved excellent results, with every student receiving the Diploma.

Of those, 73% achieved a Distinction, including five students who earned the highest possible grade, Distinction*.

Together, these results reflect the kind of consistent and sustained excellence we see across ISZL’s externally examined courses year after year.

These achievements have been built over many years and supported by a large group of people across our community.

We extend our sincere thanks to our Programme Coordinators, University Advisors, Social-Emotional Counsellors, Grade Level Leaders, IB, AP® and BTEC teachers, and the wider ISZL team from Early Years 1 through to Grade 12. Their care, expertise, and encouragement have played an important role throughout each student’s journey.

Most importantly, we congratulate the Class of 2026. They have contributed so much to our school community, and we are proud of who they are, what they have achieved, and how they have lived our mission of making the world — or our corner of it — a better, kinder place.

We look forward to hearing about the many paths they will take next. They will always have a special place here at ISZL.
